Schackenborg Slotskro
On the attractive cobblestone street of Slotsgade, where you may find ducks waddling during the day and historic lamps lighting up the scene at night, lies the inn of Schackenborg Slotskro, which has held privileged rights since 1687, in addition to having the castle of Schackenborg Slot as its nearest neighbour.
We make a point of upholding history at the inn, and we look forward to taking you on a gastronomic journey that represents a modern take on the culinary traditions of Sønderjylland based on good, local ingredients.
Check-in is from 2.00 p.m. until 9.00 p.m., whilst your room must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. on the day of your departure. If you expect to arrive after 5.00 p.m., please contact us no later than 4.00 p.m. on the day of your arrival on +45 7930 6900 or email: reception@schackenborg.dk. Our rooms are primarily located in townhouses near the inn. Some of the rooms are on the first floor; these can be reached by flights of steps, whilst other rooms are at street level. Our double rooms have either a bath or a shower cubicle. If you have any specific requirements, please contact Slotskroen at least 3 days prior to arrival.
In addition to the inn’s exquisite restaurant, which is open from Tuesday evening until Saturday, you also have the option of visiting our café in Herskabsstalden at the castle itself in the high season. As both venues are extremely popular, we recommend that you book well in advance. Further information concerning menus can be found at www.schackenborg.dk, where a table for lunch can also be booked. Please note that unfortunately we are unable to guarantee a table in the restaurant for our overnight guests.
Parking:
There are public car parks directly opposite Slotskroen. The car park Is located at Slotsgaden 42, Møgeltønder, 6270 Tønder (GPS coordinates 54°56'31.1"N 8°48'29.8"E).
