Oysters deluxe – Oyster Safari with deliciously prepared oysters and champagne

In the Wadden Sea he defended his oysters with gunboats and the threat of the death sentence! Fortunately, today we’re allowed to pick this exclusive delicacy without fearing for our lives!
Wearing ordinary wellington boots, we walk a few hundred metres out into the Wadden Sea at low tide to one of the large oyster banks, where we collect lots of fresh oysters. With buckets now full, we drive to an outdoor barbecue/fire ring, where we prepare the oysters and enjoy them with a glass of champagne. The oyster bank that we explore is located in the cleanest part of the Wadden Sea, although eating seafood such as oysters and mussels will always be at your own risk.

Practical info:
The trip lasts around 4 hours.
You drive approx. 3-4 km in your own car to the site of the barbecue.
We recommend practical, warm and windproof clothing, wellington boots and waterproof gloves. It can be a good idea to bring a change of clothes with you.
Remember a bucket for the oysters. The trip is not suitable for those with walking difficulties or for young children.
