Guided tour of Tørning Mølle

The tour goes over the castle hill, where Tørning Castle once stood from 1200 to 1597, and you will hear about the fierce battles that took place between the counts and dukes of Schleswig and the Danish kings, including Valdemar. Here, you will also encounter the more than 200-year-old trees in the park. You will also enter the six-story mill, which was built over the centuries and most recently rebuilt from 1208 to 1212 after the fire, and was at that time the most modern mill in Europe. You will hear stories about the power struggles between the district bailiffs and the millers over the ages and much more.

The tour starts at 2:00 PM and takes about 1½ hours.
