Coffetable at Klægager – The former Dikemaster’s Estate
The Danish term “kaffebord” – coffee table – is actually a bit of a misnomer, as it’s the cakes that really steal the show.
Going back to the 19th century, the number of cakes originally totalled 21: seven soft, seven hard and seven dry cakes. Although tradition decrees 21 cakes, at Klægager we’ve chosen to cut this down to 14 cakes, as there aren’t many people that can manage 21 cakes in a single afternoon.
We still manage to hit the figure 21, however, when we spice up the afternoon with seven delightful short cake stories. So you’ll have the chance to taste 14 different cakes, divided between dry, hard and soft cakes.
Our tables are laid with our finest collectors’ cups in our delightful function rooms. We’re looking forward to seeing you.
