Coffee Table and Kitchen Garden in the Castle Town of Gråsten

Day 1

Den Gamle Kro in Gråsten opens its doors for their Sønderjysk Coffee Table from 14:00 to 16:30. Here you can look forward to 29 different cakes, including the classics Brøtorte, Gode råd, and Pomle, among others. Coffee, tea, juice, and tap water are available ad libitum.

Afterward, there is check-in at Den Gamle Kro, which manages the rooms at Hotel Egely Garni, where you will stay overnight. The rooms are within walking distance of Den Gamle Kro, but there is also parking in the courtyard. Hotel Egely Garni has 6 rooms with private bathrooms and toilets.

For dinner, it is possible to book a table at Den Gamle Kro, where classic Danish dishes are served in the historic and cozy surroundings. There are also other options for a meal in the town of Gråsten.

Day 2

Breakfast is served at Den Gamle Kro, followed by check-out no later than 10:30.

At 11:00, the guided tour of Gråsten Castle Garden begins, where the guide will tell you about the church, the castle garden, and the various castles that have been on the grounds since the 17th century.

Afterward, we recommend visiting the Royal Kitchen Garden, which is opposite Gråsten Castle Garden. The Royal Kitchen Garden is open from 10:00 to 17:00. The kitchen garden supplies the royal family during their residence at Gråsten Castle and is a beautiful and inspiring experience for all gardening enthusiasts. The kitchen garden also has a café where you can buy sandwiches, coffee, and cake.
